Technology

Here are the main points in the epoxy resin flooring execution:

1. The substrate evaluation

It consists of reviewing the characteristics of the concrete substrate, specifically the flatness, the humidity, the compressive strength and the adhesion properties of the concrete floor.

You are kindly invited to browse the following document, which contains Sika’s recommendations on the various types of substrate evaluations:

Sika – Surface preparation

You may also browse our photo gallery and see the substrate evaluation process carried out by DO&DO Company here.

2. The substrate preparation

The substrate preparation may be carried out either by means of shot blasting machines, through the process of milling, scarifying and grinding or else by getting the surface degreased.

DO&DO Company has the necessary equipment to carry out the surface preparation in a professional manner. Both the company’s technical rigging and the regular training of the work crews are a proof in this regard. In terms of technical equipment, we possess a number of multiple vacuum cleaners and industrial sandblasting equipment, we have numerous grinding machines which perform simple or diamond grindings, plus a number of milling and scarifying machines, capable of carrying out 3000 sq m/day.

You may browse our portfolio and see photos of the substrate preparation process undertaken by DO&DO Company here.

3. The execution of the epoxy resin flooring

DO&DO Company helps you identify the resin flooring system tailored to your needs.

When choosing the appropriate flooring system, an important step is to establish both the type of flooring and the resin based materials which are to be used. In doing so, next to the technical office of Sika Romania, DO&DO Company will introduce a precise number of solutions which are to be implemented, all corresponding to the international norms.

Both the evaluation and the preparation of the substrate are carried out in accordance with the international norms and requirements.
